Help – I have a beautiful hydrangea bush, about 8 years old. It is
at least 8 ft in diameter and blooms are often 8 inches or more.
I don’t know what I do wrong, but when I attempt to cut a bloom off
to put in an arrangement, it wilts??????It wilts within minutes of
putting into a vase. Can you tell me HOW to display these so
they last at least hours. I am not meaning a way to DRY them
rather, cut and put in water.

Do you recomment letting dead blossoms just fall off or cutting them off? I’ve been cutting them off because they look ugly, but several people had told me I need to find out if I should be doing this. Thanks.

I noticed that I might have some aphids enjoying my newly planted day lilies —I saw an article somewhere in my search that mentioned an insecticide to be used – in the content they mention not to use a chemical – with certain ingredient – it started with a “K” now I can not find that page – can any one help me.

I’ve only recently been in a position to begin a flower garden on the property where we’ve constructed a home. I’ve transplanted things from the old site and filled out a lot of the extra area with seeds. Now that they’re ‘in’ and I’ve been carefully watering them, it occurs to me that I don’t know what the primary leaves look like. Where do I go to find pictures of primary leaves for sunflowers, zinnias, four o’clocks, hollyhocks, larkspurs, and red hot pokers?

Hello,

This is the first time I have visited your web site and so far, I Love It! My question is; What time of day or night is best to water my flowers and trees. I have a very small Japanees Maple tree and I have noticed the leaves look like they have been burned, and the only thing that has been around it is WATER. Am I watering at the wrong time of day?
